Some are perfect for snorkeling, others are ideal for a quiet afternoon in the shade. What they all have in common? That unmistakable island calm. No crowds, no loud beach bars, just you, the sea, and that special feeling that Bonaire is known for.
1. Te Amo Beach – Where your vacation really begins
Right near the airport, but somehow still peaceful. Te Amo is the perfect beach for a first swim after landing or one last sunset before flying home. The water is crystal clear and always inviting.

2. No Name Beach (Klein Bonaire) – Undisturbed, unspoiled, unforgettable
A short boat ride takes you to Klein Bonaire, where this pristine beach awaits. White sand, turquoise water, and silence. Bring your snorkel the coral reef just offshore is stunning.

3. Bachelor’s Beach – Small, local, full of charm
A little staircase leads down to this quiet beach. Locals love it for a reason, the water is perfect for a quick swim or snorkeling, and the vibe is always laid-back.

4. Sorobon Beach – Calm waters and windsurfing spirit
Located in Lac Bay on Bonaire’s east coast, Sorobon is shallow, warm, and peaceful. Great for floating, wading, and watching the windsurfers glide across the lagoon.

5. 1000 Steps – For snorkeling with a view
Don’t worry it’s not really a thousand. But the stairs down to this beach offer one of the best ocean views on the island. A favorite for snorkeling, and you might even spot sea turtles.
Just minutes from 1000 Steps, you will find Villa Barranca and Caribbean Club 308, perfect for snorkel and dive lovers.

6. Donkey Beach – Shaded and sociable
This relaxed beach near the airport is popular with local families, especially on weekends. Plenty of shade under the trees, and the calm water is perfect for a casual swim.

In the northwest of Bonaire, tucked away in Washington Slagbaai National Park, you will find Boka Slagbaai, a natural cove with a small sandy beach, calm waters, and a truly impressive landscape. There are no beach chairs or facilities here and that’s exactly what makes it special. It is the perfect spot for swimming, snorkeling, or simply spending a quiet day surrounded by nature.
